How does a resin softener work to protect your machine?

When the water passes through resin cartridge, the minerals (good minerals for flavor) in the water get coated or 'charged'.

Once this happens, those minerals will become 'slick' and be less likely to stick or bond to the internals of the machine.

Ideally they pass right through as you use your coffee machine.

Which espresso machine will this resin softener fit?

Fits: Gaggia, Saeco, La Pavoni, Grimac, Expobar, Quickmill, Alex Duetto, Vibiemme (VBM), Rancilio Silvia & Epoca, ECM, Nuova simonelli, some Rocket models and any other reservoir fed espresso machine with a submerged water intake tube.
