Newly designed for the Gaggia Classic Pro Evo 2023 models, this has the new anti-corrosion coating on the inside of the boiler to conform with EC and FDA regulations to stop water coming into direct contact with the aluminium boiler.
The commercial name of the coating is EXELIA 3010_B242. This type of coating is also used in professional pots and cake pans. EXELIA 3010/B242 coating conforms for contact with food in compliance with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Regulation CFR Title 21 Par 175.300 and it conforms for contact with food in compliance with the Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
